Chambéry to Megève

Megève by the road
through the Arly gorges

From Chambéry, Megève is reached by the motorway to Albertville, then the Arly valley road: Ugine, the Arly gorges, Flumet and Praz-sur-Arly, before entering the village. Ninety kilometres, about an hour and a quarter, without ever leaving France.

It is a lesser-known road than the Autoroute Blanche used by Geneva arrivals, and quieter on in-season Saturdays when the Arve valley fills up. For clients landing in Chambéry, it makes Megève one of the easiest resorts to reach.

knows about Megève

The centre of Megève, around the church, is pedestrian, and the chalets climb the slopes of Mont d'Arbois, Rochebrune and Le Jaillet. Your chauffeur drops you at your door and comes back at the agreed time for a dinner in the village.

From November to the end of March, the French mountain law requires four 3PMSF winter tyres or chains in the boot in the listed communes of Savoie and Haute-Savoie, with a 135 euro fine otherwise. Our cars are equipped for the whole season.
