From Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport or Part-Dieu to Chamonix, at the foot of Mont Blanc, on the Autoroute Blanche. A private chauffeur, a route that stays in France and a rate fixed before you leave, in winter as in summer.
Chamonix is not only a winter resort. People come for the skiing and the Vallée Blanche, but also in summer for mountaineering, hiking, the UTMB at the end of August, or simply the Aiguille du Midi. Our transfers from Lyon follow that calendar, with the same care in July as in February.
From Saint-Exupéry, allow about 220 kilometres and a little over two hours on clear roads. You join the A40, the Autoroute Blanche, up the Arve valley to Le Fayet, then the Route Blanche climbs towards Chamonix over the Égratz viaducts. No border, no vignette.
Geneva is closer to Chamonix, 88 kilometres away. Lyon becomes the better choice when the flight is more direct, when you arrive by TGV, or on February Saturdays when you would rather avoid the wait at the Swiss border. If Geneva would save you time, we tell you before you book.
A fast motorway, a dramatic mountain road, then a long valley where every hamlet has its own address.
From the Lyon region to the Arve valley, a fast motorway entirely in France. On winter Saturdays traffic builds on the approach to Cluses and Sallanches.
After Le Fayet the road leaves the Arve valley floor and climbs towards Servoz over the Égratz viaducts. This is where the valley narrows and Mont Blanc comes into view.
From Les Houches to Argentière, nearly twenty kilometres of valley. Your chauffeur drops you in the right hamlet, not just somewhere in Chamonix.
Flight, TGV or city address, passengers, skis or climbing packs. We confirm car and rate in writing.
Flight or train tracked in real time. A delay moves the meeting time, with no waiting charge.
Your chauffeur waits in arrivals or on the platform with a name board and loads the luggage.
Chamonix centre, Les Praz, Argentière or Les Houches: dropped at your chalet or hotel door.
The heart of Chamonix, around Place Balmat and Rue du Docteur Paccard, is largely pedestrian, and each hotel in the centre has its own way of receiving a car. Your chauffeur knows where to stop for each of them and carries the bags to reception when the car cannot go any further.
In winter, Haute-Savoie applies the French mountain law from November to the end of March: 3PMSF winter tyres or chains in the boot, a 135 euro fine and possible immobilisation if stopped without them. Our vehicles are equipped for the whole season.
If your trip continues into Italy, the Mont Blanc tunnel starts in Chamonix and comes out at Courmayeur. That onward leg can be booked with the same chauffeur, as can the return to Lyon or to Geneva at the end of your stay.
For one or two travellers. Discreet, comfortable on the motorway, easy to stop outside the hotels in the centre.
When the journey should also be a rest. Over more than two hours, the difference in comfort shows.
For families, groups and mountain gear: skis, climbing packs and strollers, up to seven passengers.
Confirmed in writing before you book, unchanged by weather or delays.
Winter tyres and chains from November to March, chauffeurs who know the Route Blanche.
Your flight or train is tracked live, and the waiting it causes is never billed.
If Geneva suits your flight better, we tell you before you book.
About two and a quarter hours from Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport on clear roads, for 220 kilometres. On winter holiday Saturdays and snowy days, allow more, especially in the Arve valley.
No. The drive stays entirely in France, on the A40 and then the Route Blanche, with no customs and no Swiss vignette.
Geneva is closer, 88 kilometres away, and we also run transfers from Geneva airport. Lyon makes sense when the flight is more direct or cheaper, when you arrive by TGV, or to avoid the Swiss border on a February Saturday.
Yes, all year. In summer it is mostly mountaineering and hiking trips, and UTMB week at the end of August, when it pays to book early.
Yes, anywhere in the valley from Les Houches to Le Tour. Give us the exact address and your chauffeur drops you at the door.
Yes, on request. The tunnel links Chamonix and Courmayeur, and the onward journey can be booked with the same chauffeur.
Tell us the date, your arrival time in Lyon and the number of passengers. You receive the rate and your chauffeur's name before you confirm.
