Alpe d'Huez spreads over a wide sunny slope, with the Vieil Alpe and the centre at the bottom, the Bergers and the Eclose higher up towards the lifts, and the Cognet on the way in. Huez, Villard-Reculas, Oz-en-Oisans and Vaujany are reached by their own roads from the valley.
From November to the end of March, the French mountain law requires four 3PMSF winter tyres or chains in the boot in the listed communes of Savoie and Isère, with a 135 euro fine otherwise. Our cars are equipped for the whole season.
