New York Airport Transfers

New York airport transfers by private chauffeur from JFK, Newark, LaGuardia and Teterboro into Manhattan and beyond. Your fixed price is agreed before the flight.

Four airports, one service

Three major airports and a private jet field

New York airport transfers start with a simple question: which airport? Each one has its own roads and rules. Your chauffeur knows where you land, follows the flight and meets you inside with a name sign.

Distances vary more than people expect. LaGuardia is about 13 km from Midtown Manhattan, while JFK and Newark are both around 26 km away. Off-peak, the drive takes roughly 20 minutes from LaGuardia, 30 from JFK and 45 from Newark. At rush hour, allow about 40 minutes from LaGuardia, 60 from Newark and 60 or more from JFK.

Construction is part of the picture too. At JFK, the New Terminal One is now delayed to the first quarter of 2027, and a new Terminal 6 is being built. Both slow pick-ups, so we plan extra margin.

Airport by airport

JFK, Newark, LaGuardia or Teterboro

Each airport works differently. Here is what matters for your pick-up. Official airport information: JFK International Airport (Port Authority).

JFK International

Five active terminals: 1, 4, 5, 7 and 8. Drivers wait for free at the Cell Phone Lot near 5, 7 and 8, or the Lefferts Blvd lot near 1 and 4. The AirTrain links every terminal to the subway and the LIRR.

Newark Liberty International

Terminal A opened in 2023, B serves most foreign airlines and C is the United hub. Each arrivals area has a Port Authority Welcome Center on Level 1. The AirTrain replacement has been pushed back to 2029.

LaGuardia

Fully rebuilt by January 2025, with Terminal B (American, United, JetBlue and others) and Terminal C (Delta). The Marine Air Terminal has had no airline since Spirit stopped flying in May 2026. There is no rail link.

Teterboro

A general aviation airport about 19 km from Midtown, with no scheduled flights. Aircraft over 100,000 lb are barred, and a new control tower opened in October 2025.

FAQ

Which New York airport is closest to Manhattan?

LaGuardia, about 13 km from Midtown and roughly 20 minutes off-peak. JFK and Newark are both around 26 km away.

Why can't my driver wait at the kerb?

At JFK and LaGuardia, kerbs are reserved for active pick-ups. Your chauffeur meets you inside arrivals, and the car moves to the kerb only when you are ready to leave.

Is JFK's New Terminal One open?

Not yet. Its opening has been delayed to the first quarter of 2027, and a new Terminal 6 is also under construction. Work around the terminals can slow pick-ups, which we build into our timing.

Do you pick up at Teterboro?

Yes. Teterboro is a busy private jet airport for Manhattan, with FBOs including Atlantic Aviation, Jet Aviation and Signature. Tell us the FBO and tail number, and the car is ready when you land.

Does the Manhattan congestion toll apply?

Yes, whenever the trip enters Manhattan south of 61st Street, a rule in place since January 2025. Your quote tells you in advance whether your route is concerned.
