Zurich to Davos

The highest town in the Alps,
and the Forum's home

Davos sits at 1,560 metres in the Landwasser valley, about 150 kilometres from Zurich airport, two and a quarter hours on a clear day. The motorway follows Lake Zurich and the Walensee to Landquart, then the road climbs the Prättigau valley through Klosters.

Each January, the World Economic Forum brings heads of state and executives to Davos for a week. Access to the town is controlled during the meeting, and transfers need to be planned well ahead: send us your dates and accreditation details as soon as you have them.

Davos Platz, Davos Dorf
and Klosters

Davos stretches along the valley from Davos Dorf to Davos Platz, with the Congress Centre in between. Klosters, a quieter village favoured by the British royal family, lies fifteen minutes below on the same road.

In Switzerland, winter tyres are not mandatory by law, but a driver whose car is not suited to the conditions can be held responsible in an accident. Our cars run on winter tyres all season, with chains on board.

Your transfer options

Zurich airport to Davos: private transfer, taxi or shared shuttle?

Private transfer from Zurich airport to Davos

A Zurich to Davos transfer with My Private Service is a private car for your party only, a chauffeur waiting in the Zurich airport arrivals hall or at the business aviation terminal with your name, and a rate fixed in writing before you travel. About 150 kilometres and 2h15 from Zurich airport via the A3 along Lake Walen, Landquart and the Prättigau, serving Davos Platz, Davos Dorf and Klosters.

Taxi Zurich to Davos, train or limousine with chauffeur?

A taxi from Zurich airport to Davos runs on the meter and is rarely equipped for the mountain. Shared coach and shuttle transfers leave on a timetable, stop at other resorts and wait for other flights. The train from Zurich airport to Davos takes about two and a half hours with a change at Landquart; during the WEF in January, a private car with a vetted chauffeur is the usual choice. A private airport transfer leaves when you land and drops you at the door, which on a Saturday in February makes the difference.

Minibus, van and group ski transfers to Davos

For a family or a group of friends, the Mercedes V-Class takes seven passengers with skis and luggage; larger groups travel in two or three vehicles leaving together. The same private ski transfer serves the hotels, the chalets and Davos Platz, Davos Dorf, Klosters and the Congress Centre.

How much is a private transfer from Zurich airport to Davos?
